The Great Indoors

posted by Erin Pierce on Tuesday, September 23rd, 2008

Well Seattlites, we’ve decided to prepare for the stereotypical weather and move the party inside. Of course, I could tell you to leave your umbrella’s at home, but everyone knows only tourists own them.

If we weren’t already making history by throwing the biggest entrepreneurial bash of the year, we’re now striving to host the greatest INDOOR PICNIC ever. So put on your best picnic outfit, get ready to eat, drink and be merry, and sign up!

We’re looking forward to seeing you all there.

Vino! Vino!

posted by Tracy Klinkroth on Friday, September 19th, 2008

Our wine sponsor is Kestrel Winery, and their Vine Vixens wine club will be serving their newly released Lady in Red 6th edition and new Pure Platinum 4 at the Company Picnic wine bar. I worked with the Vine Vixens last year at another fundraiser I hosted; Kestrel has great wine and they have a fun and dedicated group of gorgeous female volunteers who will come and pour the Kestrel Wine for your event.

What’s even better about working with the Kestrel Winery is that they have this great deal for charities who can use the Kestrel Lady wines for fundraising. Local non-profit Crooked Trails will receive 100% of the proceeds from wine and beer sales at Company Picnic. Stop by and meet the Kestrel Vine Vixens and try some delicious wines to enhance your picnic!

10 Reasons YOU Need a Company Picnic

posted by Melody Biringer on Wednesday, September 17th, 2008
  1. Because shoving your business card in someone’s hand before even saying hello isn’t your style.
  2. Because you’re going out for dinner and drinks anyway.
  3. Because you should know what fascinating things people in your community are doing.
  4. Because you’d pay good money to see John Cook get wet in the Dunk Tank.
  5. Because people who are looking for your services will be there, and we’ll make sure they find you.
  6. Because it’s an excuse to do something fun on a weeknight and say that it’s “work.”
  7. Because you like free things, and our vendors intend to lavish you with fabulous prizes.
  8. Because you get a giant name tag that will help you meet 5 new people without even trying.
  9. Because the Yellow Pages doesn’t have an “entrepreneur” section.
  10. Because if you don’t celebrate your accomplishments, who will?
